Colombia and Venezuela: two sister nations 

Regarding the regrettable armed incidents between Colombian irregulars and the National Bolivarian Armed Forces (FANB) in Venezuelan territory, we want to reaffirm the border policy of the FARC-EP, Second Marquetalia, emanating from its highest level of leadership, the National Guerrilla Conference.

Our Eighth Conference clearly established that the armies of neighboring countries (Venezuela, Brazil, Peru, Ecuador and Panama) are not military targets of the FARC. Our armed struggle is in Colombian territory and it is against an unjust regime that has oppressed us for 200 years, seeking the establishment of a new, more humane government that meets the needs of the people, giving them a decent life, and a better future in peace, democracy and sovereignty.

The FARC-EP, Second Marquetalia, a force inspired by the thoughts of the Liberator Simón Bolívar, reiterates that it does not act militarily against the armed forces of neighboring countries; that they respect the sovereignty of their governments and peoples as something sacred; they do not tax any of the nationals of those countries, much less interfere in the sovereign management of their natural wealth.

Faced with the Bolivarian Revolution in Venezuela, threatened and attacked with economic and commercial blockades, with the incursion of mercenaries from Colombia, with the dispossession of companies and gold reserves by the government of the United States and other European states, it is evident that we are an insurgency in solidarity with a people whose legitimate right to self-determination cannot be violated. And with this attitude we do not sin, because this is fundamental in our principles, and that is how it is recorded in the public documents of the FARC-EP, Secon Marquetalia, on the subject.

We are guided by the geopolitical strategy of the Liberator that the White House hates so much, and that was, among others, the reason for the promulgation of its Monroe Doctrine in 1823.

Monroe, Adams and Jackson wanted to expand their territory after the fall of Spanish colonialism, at the expense of Mexico, Cuba and Panama. Bolívar\’s political strategy resisted this claim by proposing the unity of Latin America in a federation of sister republics, with a supranational authority, which would make this institution a factor of balance in the universe. The United States did not like the idea of ​​Colombia and Mexico organizing an expedition to free Cuba from the Spanish yoke. For this reason, after sabotaging the good progress of the plenipotentiary meeting in the Congress of Panama, it later proceeded to deprive Mexico of half of its territory.

This amazing vision of the liberator has not died. It is striking that the Santanderist oligarchies of the continent, enemies of Bolívar\’s project, were the first to kneel to Washington. For this reason, from now on, when the issue is raised again in a continental forum, so that no one takes us away from our destiny, the consultation will have to be made directly to the peoples of Latin America and the Caribbean.

Regarding Colombia and Venezuela, these two sister nations must act together, as in the past, led by Simón Bolívar. In the unity of the two sisters is the key to our definitive independence. Venezuela and Colombia must act as one, as sea and wave. Let those hirsute chauvinisms that are prodded by foreign powers die. We Colombians must oppose with all our material and spiritual forces a foolish and fratricidal war with Venezuela. We call on the patriotic and Bolivarian military of Colombia and the national country to no longer allow itself to be used by the Duque and Uribe government, which only seeks to satisfy the follies of the \”terrible monster of the north.\”

Colombia y Venezuela: Dos Naciones Hermanas 

A propósito de los lamentables incidentes armados entre irregulares colombianos y la Fuerza Armada Nacional Bolivariana en territorio de Venezuela, queremos reafirmar la política de fronteras de las FARC-EP, Segunda Marquetalia, emanada de su máxima instancia de dirección, la Conferencia Nacional Guerrillera.

Nuestra Octava Conferencia estableció nítidamente que, los ejércitos de los países vecinos (Venezuela, Brasil, Perú, Ecuador y Panamá) no son objetivos militares de las FARC. Nuestra lucha armada es en territorio colombiano y es contra un régimen injusto que nos oprime desde hace 200 años, buscando el establecimiento de un nuevo gobierno, más humano, que atienda las necesidades de la gente, dándoles vida digna, y un mejor porvenir en paz, democracia y soberanía.

Las FARC-EP, Segunda Marquetalia, fuerza inspirada en el pensamiento del Libertador Simón Bolívar, reitera que no actúa militarmente contra las fuerzas armadas de los países vecinos; que respetan como algo sagrado la soberanía de sus gobiernos y pueblos; no cobran impuestos a ninguno de los nacionales de esos países, y mucho menos interfiere en el manejo soberano de sus riquezas naturales.

Frente a la Revolución Bolivariana de Venezuela, amenazada y agredida con bloqueos económicos y comerciales, con la incursión de mercenarios desde Colombia, con el despojo de empresas y reservas de oro por parte del gobierno de los Estados Unidos y otros estados europeos, es evidente que somos una insurgencia solidaria con un pueblo al que no se le puede vulnerar su derecho legítimo a la libre autodeterminación. Y con esta actitud no pecamos, porque ello es fundamental en nuestros principios, y así lo registran los documentos públicos de las FARC-EP, Segunda Marquetalia, sobre el tema.

Nos guía la estrategia geopolítica del Libertador que tanto odia la Casa Blanca, y que fue, entre otros, motivo de la promulgación de su Doctrina Monroe en 1823.

Monroe, Adams y Jackson, querían ampliar su territorio luego de la caída del colonialismo español, a expensas de México, Cuba y Panamá. A esa pretensión resistía la estrategia política de Bolívar al proponer la unidad de América Latina en una federación de repúblicas hermanas, con una autoridad supranacional, que convirtiera a esta institución en factor de equilibrio del universo. No le gustaba a Estados Unidos la idea de Colombia y México de organizar una expedición para liberar a Cuba del yugo español. Por eso, tras sabotear la buena marcha de la reunión de plenipotenciarios en el Congreso de Panamá, procedió más tarde a despojar a México de la mitad de su territorio.

Esta sorprendente visión del libertador, no ha muerto. Llama la atención que las oligarquías santanderistas del continente, enemigas del proyecto de Bolívar, fueran las primeras en arrodillarse a Washington. Por eso, en adelante, cuando se vuelva a tocar el tema en algún foro continental, para que nadie nos aparte de nuestro destino, la consulta tendrá que hacerse directamente a los pueblos de América Latina y el Caribe.

Respecto a Colombia y Venezuela, estas dos naciones hermanas deben actuar unidas, como en el pasado, comandadas por Simón Bolívar. En la unidad de las dos hermanas está la clave de nuestra definitiva independencia. Venezuela y Colombia deben actuar como una sola, como mar y ola. Que mueran esos chovinismos hirsutos que son azuzados por potencias extranjeras. Los colombianos debemos oponernos con todas nuestras fuerzas materiales y espirituales a una guerra tonta y fratricida con Venezuela. Llamamos a los militares patriotas y bolivarianos de Colombia y al país nacional a no dejarse utilizar más por el gobierno de Duque y Uribe, que solo busca satisfacer las locuras del «terrible monstruo del norte».
