Condolences to the people of the Republic of Cuba in connection with the death of Fidel Castro
Dear comrades!
We, the Communists and people of the Lugansk People’s Republic, are very saddened to learn of the death of your national leader, Commander-in-Chief of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro.
Without exaggeration, we can safely say that Fidel Castro was a leader of the left movement, not only in his home country or in the Americas. He was a revolutionary, politician and statesman of world importance and scale. The Cuban Revolution and subsequent nation-building in Cuba not only changed the lives of the Cuban people – they have become iconic for the peoples of all countries.
Today we mourn together with you and with all progressive humanity, understanding the irreplaceable nature of this loss. At the same time, we are sure — death has no power over such people as Fidel Castro. He will remain with us — in our hearts and minds, in our plans and ideas. His path is not finished and cannot be finished until socialism prevails everywhere.
