Boris Litvinov expressed his condolences in connection with the death of Alexander Zakharchenko
September 2: The tragic news of the death of the hero of our time — Alexander Vladimirovich Zakharchenko — deeply plunged into the consciousness, souls and hearts of the Communists of the Donetsk People’s Republic.
For more than four years, we have built our country together. In battle, for our ideals, Alexander Vladimirovich inspired his companions with fearlessness, courage, and confidence in victory. In his work, he showed persistence in the fulfillment of his goals. And the vital energy embodied in the highest capacity for labor allowed him to overcome the trials that had fallen to his lot and continue the noble cause of creating an independent, free and developing People’s Republic.
The DPR Communists supported the Head of the Republic in his desire to build our country on the principles of Freedom, Justice, Conscience, Equality. He tried to lead the inhabitants of our country according to the moral principles of the USSR. More than once, Zakharchenko said of independence: “… that this is the right road which will lead us to prosperity and harmony. This is the road from which we will not turn, which we will travel with honor.”
Under the leadership of Alexander Vladimirovich Zakharchenko, the Donetsk People’s Republic followed the path which the people supported in the popular referendum on May 11, 2014.
His murder, organized by the Ukrainian criminal nationalist regime with the support of international imperialism, is a heavy loss for the people of the DPR, as well as for all friendly countries that have embarked on the path of liberation from the dictatorship of capital.
A real leader who devoted himself to serving his people and state has perished. The name of Alexander Vladimirovich Zakharchenko will take a worthy place in the history of our country.
On behalf of the Communist Party of the Donetsk People’s Republic, I express my deep sorrow and condolences to the family, relatives and friends of Alexander Vladimirovich Zakharchenko.
On our path there will still be a lot of big obstacles. But the will and cohesion of our peace-loving, international, collectivist, industrious people are repeatedly tempered in tragic situations. We are determined to take the path to victory. And the Communists are ready to defend the sovereignty of the DPR, as Head of the Republic Alexander Vladimirovich Zakharchenko did, at the most advanced and difficult frontiers of our common struggle!
