At the same time, the representative of the Emergency Ministry of the DPR said that the plant is not on fire. In addition, there is no threat of chemical emissions into the atmosphere, and emergency units were not involved.
Earlier it was reported that on the territory of Donetsk there was a powerful explosion at the chemical plant. In the northwestern part of the city, a column of black smoke was seen. In turn, glass was shattered in several buildings near the plant. …
According to the expert of the Institute of Innovative Development Alexey Albu, the shelling of the Donetsk chemical plant is an attack on the military-industrial complex of the young Donetsk People’s Republic. The Donetsk state factory of chemical products is used in the manufacture of ammunition and explosives, and before the independence of the DPR was part of the “Ukroboronprom” group.
“The shelling of the enterprise is not accidental, because it is one of the tactical goals of the Ukrainian military. According to them, to stop this enterprise would hurt the defense capabilities of the DPR. This and other attacks are the result of Ukrainian troops preparing a full-scale assault on the young people’s republics. Ukraine is on the verge of great social upheaval associated with the catastrophic situation in the economy, and renewing the armed conflict is the only way to distract the public from the problems associated with the mass impoverishment of the citizens of Ukraine. Unfortunately, the ‘party of war’ remains very strong in Ukrainian politics and is ready to drown its own people in blood for immediate benefits.
“It is also necessary to pay attention to a strange pattern observed since the beginning of the civil war: of all the industrial and infrastructure facilities affected by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the majority are not owned by the oligarchs, but controlled by the republics. This fact suggests collusion by the owners of several large enterprises in the LPR and DPR with the Ukrainian authorities,” concluded Alexey Albu.
