Donbass internationalists salute Commander Motorola

InterUnit Statement No. 9: Commander Motorola, hasta siempre!

As anti-fascist internationalist volunteers of InterUnit, we deeply regret the death of Commander Arsen Pavlov (Motorola) of the Donetsk People’s Republic, and we join in the grief that the people of Donbass are experiencing in these difficult times.

Commander Motorola, who preserved the living example of the historical anti-fascist struggle of the people of Donbass, was, is and will always be an example of dignity and courage, not only to his comrades-in-arms, but to all free people of Novorossiya.

We raise his example to the level of the “People’s Heroes,” like our legendary Commander Mozgovoi, who gave everything, even their lives, in order to face Kiev’s criminal fascist aggression, showing the highest values of dignity and national pride.

The life he sacrificed for this heroic deed, like all those who’ve fallen to the claws of the Kiev regime’s state terrorism, won’t be in vain. Behind him, the hopes and desires of the whole country to forge its own destiny without hesitation will be strengthened.

It is our internationalist commitment not to cede a single step in the struggle against the enemies of the people, a commitment we affirm today before our fallen fellow soldier and brother in the fight.

Because our enemies, though they wear many different disguises, always act in the interests of U.S. imperialism and neo-fascist militarism, our struggle must necessarily be united as well.

Because for Commander Motorola, for Commander Mozgovoi, and for all who have fallen in this anti-fascist war, we declare:

¡Hasta la victoria siempre!

¡No pasarán!

In 2015, the Ghost Brigade (Prizrak) of Novorossiya created an internationalist anti-fascist military unit called InterUnit, which operates in the territories of the Lugansk People’s Republic. InterUnit is a military-political group composed of volunteers from around the world defending Donetsk and Lugansk from the U.S.-backed regime in Ukraine. It carries on the heritage of the Resistance against Nazism and other liberation struggles of the last century, and takes its motto from the Spanish Civil War: “No Pasarán!”
