Leningrad: In memory of the leader

On January 21 in St. Petersburg, the Leningrad organization of the Russian Communist Workers Party (RKRP) held a rally in memory of Vladimir Ilyich Lenin. The event was held on Lenin Square, at the monument to the leader of the working class, in front of the Finland Station.

To honor the memory of Vladimir Ilyich, in spite of the working day and bitter cold, came not only members of the RKRP, but representatives of friendly organizations and workers of the city of Lenin. They laid red carnations at the world-famous monument, and then First Secretary of Leningrad City Committee of RKRP Dmitry Kuzmin opened the memorial rally.
The tone of the event was set by the first secretary of the RKRP Victor Abramovich Tyulkin. He recalled that Lenin said in his time task the main task was “to awaken in the proletariat the consciousness that they are human, not work horses.” And since then, this problem has not lost its relevance.

Other speakers on the great heritage of Lenin included: representative of the Workers’ Academy Alexander Kazenov, Secretary of Executive Committee of the Russian Communist Party (PKK) Yevgeny Kozlov, Secretary of Pushkin District Committee of RKRP Andrey Zakharov, head of the city organization of the OKP Andrei Terentyev, secretary of the Vyborg district organization RKRP Vladimir Tretyakov, as well as RKRP activist Vasilina Fedorov.
The event was summed up by the first secretary of the Leningrad Committee RKRP Stepan Malentsov. He recalled that for more than five years, the authorities of the Northern capital have not repaired the monument to Vladimir Ilyich blown up by fascists in Pushkin district. As a result, participants in the rally adopted a resolution demanding that city authorities restore the monument.
