May 27: To understand whether the inhabitants of Novorossiya support the militia, it was enough to come to the last goodbye for Alexei Borisovich Mozgovoi.
People from Lugansk carrying carnations caught rides to Alchevsk. At the former local Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) building, now the headquarters of the Ghost Brigade, the entire city gathered: workers, pensioners, students, schoolchildren.
Another legendary commander — Pavel Dremov – came to the Brigade Commander’s last farewell, along with Prime Minister Vasily Nikitin, Kozitsyna Cossacks, and Deputy Commander of the Lugansk People’s Militia “Communist.”
Also present were our comrades from the Ghost political department, Evgenij Wallenberg and Vladislav Wojciechowski, and Borotbists Alexey Albu from Odessa and Evgeniy Golishkin from Kiev.
Mozgovoi’s taciturn comrades-in-arms vowed to continue the Brigade Commander’s work.
The revolutionary of the people with “socialist feelings,” Mozgovoi managed to unite under the banner of the Communist detachment volunteers from a dozen countries, and workers from Alchevsk, Odessa, Kiev, Dnipropetrovsk and Lugansk.
His appeal to the soldiers of the Ukrainian Armed Forces (APU) to turn their bayonets around and join with the militias to march on Kiev will still find its response from the thousands duped by nationalist propaganda, and his dream of democracy and self-government of the people in this war-torn country will be realized.
We cherish the bright memory of you, Brigade Commander.
