On May 9, 2017, on the 72nd anniversary of the Great Victory over fascism, at 10.00 in Moscow, at the Krasnopresnenskaya Outpost Square, the left forces held an action called “Victory Banner — to the Kremlin.”
The action was attended by the United Communist Party (OKP), Other Russia, Communist Youth Union (SCM), Trade Union of Migrant Workers (PTM) and others.
At the rally, Vladimir Lakeev (OKP), Sergei Skvortsov (CPSU), Renat Karimov (PTM), Olga Shalina (Other Russia), and writer Andrei Chuvilin addressed the rally. The event was led by Denis Sommer (SCM).
The participants of the rally expressed their protest against the rewriting of the history of the results of the Great Patriotic and World War II, as well as against attempts to glorify Nazi collaborators and criminals, such as Marshal Mannerheim and General Krasnov.
Thousands of Muscovites and visitors to the capital who attended the military review on the Red Square listened to the speakers at the rally.
