Moscow: Left March on May Day to call for ‘new October revolution’

The applicants notified the authorities of their intention to hold a march on International Workers’ Day, May 1, at 13.00, from the Krasnopresnenskaya Metro station along Zamorenov Street to the intersection of Trgegorny Val and Krasnaya Presnya streets, with a rally at 14.30 at the monument to the Heroes of the Revolution of 1905-1907 at Krasnopresnenskaya Zastava Square (Metro station “Ulitsa 1905 Goda”).

In the course of Left March on May 1, the year of the 100th anniversary of the Great October Socialist Revolution, the left-wing forces will proclaim the need for an early change of the current government in Russia from its “neo-feudal” capitalist political system.

The organizers plan to demand the release of all prisoners of conscience sitting in jail on trumped-up charges and an end to other crimes of the current regime.
