On February 8, 2016, at 12:00, members of Patriot Club of the Donetsk Regional Museum, dedicated to local history, will visit Donetsk Secondary School No. 30. At the school, a club meeting will be held on the theme: “Patriotism: A View of Generations.” Teachers and students of the school, along with members of the Patriot Club, will hold a memorial dedicated to graduate of the school and military correspondent Vsevolod Petrovsky.
Vsevolod was born in the city of Artemivsk, Donetsk region, on April 11, 1986, into a family of doctors. Exactly one year ago, on February 8, 2015, while following the orders of his commander, Petrovsky, a war correspondent and fighter in the Volunteer Communist Detachment of the Ghost Brigade, was killed near the town of Debaltsevo. Vsevolod died almost instantly — a shell fragment hit him directly in the heart. Young, intelligent and strong, he gave his life for the Donetsk People’s Republic and its future.
Afghan veterans will also participate in the memorial, where they will share their memories of the exploits of their comrades. Artem Bushuyev, chair of the public youth movement Patriots of Donbass, will speak about the patriotic clubs of the young Republic.
Address: City of Donetsk, Tereshkova Street, 77 (Textile District).
