December 18: The political party “Our Home is Moldova” (Red Bloc) strongly condemns the decision of the partisan Kiev District Administrative Court banning the Communist Party of Ukraine (KPU).
The Ukrainian oligarchic junta, fighting any dissent in the country, reigns through fear imposed by gangs of right-wing goons and by imprisoning political activists who disagree with the authorities. Among the political prisoners, most are people sharing communist ideas.
We are confident that further struggle of our Ukrainian comrades — the communists — will lead to the liberation of Ukraine from oligarchic capitalism and the victory of anti-fascist forces.
The Red Bloc party has always been close to our Ukrainian friends. At the May Day demonstration held this year in Kiev, organized by the Communist Party, which was banned by the authorities, the only representative of Moldova at this event was the leader of our party — Grigory Petrenko. Unfortunately, today he is caged in a Moldovan prison for his political views and fight against the oligarchs.
In Moldova, as in Ukraine, a right-wing oligarchic regime is fighting against the communists. However, this does not break our common struggle for socialism. We have a common red flag, sacred for us, and a common struggle against the oligarchs who hijacked our country. In this fight, we must win, despite all the difficulties that lie ahead.
HANDS OFF THE COMMUNIST PARTY!
Recall that the Kiev District Administrative Court concluded its consideration of the case of the suit of the Ministry of Justice to ban the activities of the Communist Party of Ukraine. Earlier, on September 30, 2015, the Kiev District Administrative Court, ruling on the suit of the Ministry of Justice, suspended the activities of the Communist Party of Ukraine (Renewed) and the Communist Party of Workers and Peasants.
It should be noted that to date, the party “Our Home is Moldova” (Red Bloc) is the only political formation in Moldova which has publicly supported the communists in Ukraine.
