U.S. activists demand freedom for Petrenko Group prisoners in Moldova

In New York City November 7-8, activists from across the United States expressed their solidarity with Red Bloc leader Grigory Petrenko and the other anti-oligarchy political prisoners in Moldova.

The national conference of Workers World Party, meeting at the site of the historic Audobon Ballroom, where the great African American revolutionary Malcolm X was assassinated in 1965, was attended by hundreds of youth and workers. The conference called for the immediate release of the Petrenko Group and an end to U.S.-EU interference in Moldova.
