October 28: Today, on the anniversary of Ukraine’s liberation from Nazi invaders, we, representatives of the Committee for the Liberation of Odessa, affirm our full support for the appeal by the leader of the Donetsk People’s Republic Alexander Zakharchenko to the inhabitants of Odessa concerning the prohibition of the Banner of Victory of the Great Patriotic War.
The cynicism of this ruling knows no bounds. Once again the regime of the nationalists and the oligarchs demonstrates its fascist face. Every day in Odessa there is continuing harassment, arrests and looting of our hometown. Before the eyes of children, people are arrested for disagreeing with the outrages perpetrated by nationalists.
We declare that we will never stop fighting for the liberation of our native city from the power of the neo-fascists.
We declare that we will never forgive the mass murder of our loved ones on May 2, 2014.
All the crimes, bullying and humiliation of Odessa will never be forgotten!
The junta will be broken! Victory will be ours!
