Donetsk protests anti-Soviet measures by Moldova regime

September 27: The initiative of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Moldova to create a “Museum of Soviet Occupation” is a highly immoral deed that disrespects history and the memory of millions of Soviet citizens who sacrificed their lives in the struggle against the German invaders in 1941-1945.

Red Bloc members refurbish Soviet tank monument
neglected by Moldovan authorities.
The campaign begun in the Republic of Moldova to dismantle monuments of the Great Patriotic War is outrageous. The attempt to dismantle the memorial to Soviet tank heroes in the city of Balti was unsuccessful. Efforts to denigrate the history of the Great Patriotic War and eradicate the memory of the heroism of the Soviet soldiers won’t find an echo in Moldovan society.

It’s particularly troubling that such acts are directly or indirectly inspired by the official authorities of the Republic of Moldova.

In this regard, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Donetsk People’s Republic proclaims its strongest protest to the government of the Republic of Moldova and reminds it of the dangers of implementing such steps, which will undoubtedly lead to further tensions in the country’s already volatile situation.
