An easy way to support the struggle against fascism in Donbass & Ukraine today!

In New York the International Action Center has called a memorial for Donbass resistance leader Alexei Mozgovoi today, to coincide with his funeral. Mozgovoi and four other comrades were assassinated on Saturday in the Lugansk People’s Republic. Two civilians were also killed.

The Ukraine-U.S.-NATO war against Donbass continues. Just last night, several cities in Donetsk were pounded by heavy artillery shelling despite the fig leaf of the Minsk ceasefire. In the hardest-hit city, Gorlovka, an 11-year-old child and her father were killed, and her baby brother was severely wounded.

For folks outside New York, or for those who cannot attend the memorial because of health or other obligations, we ask you to do something very simple to help:

Download and print out the attached poster (8 ½ x 11” is fine), use your own, or make a handwritten sign that says: Stop the war on Donbass! U.S./NATO out of Ukraine! Include the following hashtag on the sign: ‪#‎MozgovoiLives‬. Take a selfie or group photo if possible. Post the photo to the Facebook event page here: https://www.facebook.com/events/975197192512458/.

That’s it!

A (slightly) less easy way to support the struggle:

Banda Bassotti, the Italian musicians who organized the Antifascist Caravan to Donbass, have appealed to people to make videos of themselves using the following script:

I AM (name / organization), I LIVE IN (city / country). I DEMAND JUSTICE FOR COMMANDER MOZGOVOI, THE PARTISANS AND THE CIVILIANS KILLED BY THE FASCISTS. NOTHING WILL STOP THE RESISTANCE OF THE DONBASS POPULATION. NO PASARAN!

Upload the video clip to https://www.facebook.com/events/975197192512458/ and I will forward it to BB.

I look forward to seeing New York folks tonight at 6pm at the Simon Bolivar statue, 59th Street and 6th Avenue. Thank you!

That was easy!
