Life is stronger than death

This photo was taken just a couple of days before the death of our Brigade Commander. The frantically meowing kitten, picked up during the rain, quickly became a universal favorite of the staff. He was allowed to roam on the table during meetings, suddenly attack from the rear, and sleep in the lap of the Brigade Commander. He even had his own bowl in the office of the First! But yesterday he was sitting alone in the empty office and could not understand why no one was coming to play with him?
