Journalist brutalized on Victory Day in Lvov

From Elena Kazakova:

May 10: Yesterday in Lvov [Western Ukraine] my friend, journalist Dmitriy Lyashenko, was severely beaten. He has a broken nose and his eye was gouged out. He came out with Elena Boyko [another journalist] to support the veterans in Lviv. Especially since only 23 people dared march!

The police want to hush up the case. Therefore, the more people know about it, the better hope for justice!

[Translators note: One day before the attack on Lyashenko, a pensioner was attacked for wearing the St. George’s Ribbon by Lvov Regional Council Deputy Iosif Sitnik of the fascist Svoboda party.]
