April 22 – Hundreds of residents demanded that Washington stop interfering in the internal affairs of Ukraine outside the U.S. embassy in Kiev. During the rally, protesters burned photos of Assistant U.S. Secretary of State Victoria Nuland, reported Russian Spring. [Translator’s note: Nuland was one of the main architects of the Maidan coup that overthrew Ukraine’s legally elected government in February 2014.]
Outside the embassy, Ukrainians unfurled banners that read, “Thank you for the U.S. war,” “We are not cattle,” “U.S. – grief of Ukraine,” and more. In addition, people carried signs with photos and names of destroyed cities like Shakhtersk, Debaltsevo and Krasny Pakhar in Donetsk.
This is not the first action held beneath the windows of U.S. diplomats. In early April, protesters threw manure at the U.S. embassy.
