Communists and Komsomol members in Kiev celebrated the 145 anniversary of the birth of the leader of the world proletariat, Vladimir Lenin.
Participants gathered in Bessarabia Square in Kiev, at the place where there was a monument to the architect of present-day Ukraine, liberator of peoples from capitalism, V.I. Lenin. On that very spot, neo-Nazi groups under the patronage of the junta brutally tore down this symbol of the legacy of the Ukrainian people, a monument of a prosperous Ukraine.

Addressing the audience, First Secretary of the Lenin Komsomol of Ukraine Mikhail Kononovich said: “Today is a great day, today is the birthday of the great activist who changed the course of history and changed it forever! The world has changed. The world has become fairer. But today evil forces have seized power in our troubled Ukraine. They are trying to destroy even the memory of V.I. Lenin, savagely destroying monuments to him, trying to rewrite history, but all in vain. As a brook trickles away to become a mighty river, the junta and neo-fascism will be swept away forever. Our cause is struggle! Our cause is education! Our cause is communism! “
People with tears in their eyes, with hope in their hearts for a brighter future for Ukraine, laid flowers on the pedestal, saying warm words of gratitude to the great genius of humanity — Vladimir Ilyich Lenin.
