Notice was filed on April 16 at 8:00 at the headquarters of the Moscow City Government for the Left March on May 1, 2015.
The applicants notified authorities of their intention to hold a march on the Ring Boulevard with a gathering place on May 1 at 1 p.m. at the Nikitsky Boulevard, march along Nikitsky Boulevard and Tverskomu Boulevard, with a rally in Novopushkinsky Square.
The main purpose of the Left March on International Workers’ Day is to defend the legitimate rights and freedoms of Russian citizens, demand the right to jobs, support the growing resistance in fraternal Ukraine to rising fascism, and support self-determination and self-government by the workers of Donbass and around the world. The organizers emphasize their opposition to any kind of dictatorship and oppression of working people, including on ethnic and religious grounds, and have consistently advocated for prisoners of conscience, persecuted for political reasons for defending the legitimate rights the people.
