February 23: “We Kharkov guerrillas, leading a guerrilla war on the territory of Kharkov and the Kharkov region Kiev against the junta, were not involved in the explosion of Feb. 22, 2015, during the march of supporters of the ATO [Anti-Terrorist Operation, Kiev’s euphemism for war against Donbass]. We Kharkov guerrillas did not plan and do not plan actions in public places with civilians, regardless of their political views.
“We believe that many ordinary Ukrainians are fooled by the media of the Kiev junta and, as we have stated repeatedly, we will not put their lives at risk. In addition, we have reliable information that the column of demonstrators was blown up on Feb. 22 by order of [Ukrainian Interior Minister Arsen] Avakov in order to introduce the methods of the ATO in Kharkov.
“Kharkov: A year ago in Ukraine, moral monsters, sadists and killers came to power who sacrifice simple Ukrainian people to achieve their goals. We are with you, who are treated as a bargaining chip in their terrible game. But we will win.”
The appeal of the Kharkov partisans was read by Philip Ekozyants.
